Christmas greetings from Sr Thresa, Superior General

Christmas greetings from Sr Thresa, Superior General

Sun, 24 Dec 23 Daughters of the Church Charismatic Family

Even if Christ were born in Bethlehem a thousand times, if he is not born in you, you are lost for eternity. This expression by Angelus Silesius, a German mystic and poet, comes to mind at this Christmas time. The Christmas we celebrate each year is not just a commemoration of the Lord's coming, but a strong invitation to become aware of the loving and attentive presence of the Emmanuel who already dwells in us, and wants to establish his Kingdom of Peace in the universe and in the heart of every person.

Therefore, with joy, we sing with the angels: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to those beloved of the Lord! As beloved children of the Father, let us refocus our gaze on the Incarnate Word and let us be guided by His Spirit to be a Church on the way (synodal), listening to and embracing suffering humanity. May this be our contribution to building together a more fraternal and united society!

Wishes of hope and true joy to our families and communities, but especially to our brothers and sisters who suffer the consequences of hatred, war and violence and await an era of peace and justice.
