The three theological virtues mentioned by St. Paul (1 Cor 13, 13) faith, hope and love are inter-connected to each other. In the same way “The silence of Love” that our Mother founders’ has mentioned in her last lesson to the junior is also are connected with our faith and hope in God.
“The silence of Love” means to keep within us our pains and communicate only of our joy. To keep within us our pains does not mean to suppress our pain but to accept it with faith. It can be the pain of lack of acceptance- acceptance from others or acceptance of our own limitations, misunderstanding due to prejudice and lack of humility and lack of forgiveness due to pride and jealousy. Communicating only of our joy means trying to create an atmosphere of joy and happiness in our communities, even though we have to make some sacrifices. At times it can be our silence, other times it can be a word of consolation or a simple smile as our Mother foundress says. If we are able to make our community a “school of Love” we will be able to live “The silence of Love”.
