My Response to God's call

My name is Deepika Lakra from Odisha- India. During elementary schooling gradually, there came a desire in me to become a religious Sister to serve the poor. As the days passed by, I was confused with my desire. Later on, when I was a teenager this thought was disturbing me and so I consulted with my parents but they disagreed with my decision. However, I had to be strong to follow my desire. Once while I was reading the Bible, I came across the passage in the New Testament:  Jn 8:12 “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” I was inspired by this verses but I had not given a serious thought about it until the sisters visited my family and introduced the Congregation and I was glad to know about the Congregation and I decided to join them. I wish to know more about the religious family and the Church at large hence I wish to continue my life in this religious family.
