Festal Wishes of Sr. Maria Santos, Superior General

“It is truly right to sing your praises, O blessed Virgin Mother,
ever-blessed and all-immaculate,
Mother of God!
You, worthy of honor more than the Seraphim,
worthy of glory more than the Cherubim,
untouched you bore in your womb the Divine Word:
We exalt you, Mother of God, with our songs!”

Dearest sisters and dear friends,

On this great solemnity, let us make our own the rich words that the Byzantine liturgy offers us, so that we may live with greater intensity our praise of the Lord for all that He has accomplished in Mary.

Let us ask for her maternal intercession, that she may help us to live each day with the constant desire to reach the Goal, where she awaits us together with all our loved ones.

This is a time of holidays and rest, yet we must not forget all those who are experiencing difficulties on many fronts—whether because they cannot afford a time of rest, or because they are living amid war and natural disasters.

May Mary support and reach the heart of every person, bringing hope and consolation so that we may continue our journey.
