Happy Children's Day 2024

“Every child is a different kind of flower that altogether make this world a beautiful garden.”

Happy Children’s Day, also known as “Bal Diwas” is celebrated every year in India on November 14, to commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru.   He was fondly, lovingly & popularly known as “Chacha Nehru” among children. He strongly believed that children are the foundation of a society and they should be provided with a nurturing environment to produce the talented leaders & flag bearers of future India.

This great day was celebrated with vigour and enthusiasm by the children and teachers of St. Jude Secondary School, Umpher-Meghalaya on 14 November. The teachers made the occasion memorable for the children with a special assembly. The children were treated to a melodious medley of songs followed by various games for different sections by their teachers.
