25th death anniversary of Sr. Silvana Termignone (1993-2018)
The Sisters from India would like to remember and share their experience of living with Sr. Silvana who brought the Charism of Daughters of the Church to India.
On 21/06/1986, the day that I stepped into the convent, a broad, warm, welcoming smile captured me. And her radiant, gracious and enigmatic smile at the Sacred Host during the adoration, told my young heart that the One who called me is beautiful. An encouraging and reassuring smile, after having committing mistakes swept away my fear; a soothing and genuine smile while bidding ‘goodnight’ at the end of every day made me relaxed and enkindled in me a peace that stayed on. Yes our Sr. Silvana is no more here with us but still her sparkling eyes and her smile are eternal for me even after 32 years. Her life was a legacy, her total focus, an attribute that deeply impressed me. She taught me by example that how we live impacts how we die. She lived a life of courage, beauty, and integrity; she died in the same manner. Though very brief and formal were our meetings, thank you AMMA for your smile and for having opened the door to discover the Real Me.
