Our day was illumined by the Word of God that the Church offered us in the liturgy:
“Anyone who sows sparsely will reap sparsely as well -- and anyone who sows generously will reap generously as well.
With these words our Superior General Sr.Thresa began her six-year report on the life of the Institute by focusing on the following key points:
- The current statistics of the Institute
- Evaluation of the Pastoral Project (2013-2019)
- A brief feedback on the indications given to the General Council by the previous Chapter
- Some challenges that await us.
The gratitude flowed spontaneously from all the Chapter sisters for the great work accomplished by the Mother General and the General Council. The feedback of the assembly enriched each other and it was a moment to acknowledge all the good and beautiful things the Lord has worked.
The general treasurer, Sr Maria Chiara, offered an overview of recent Church documents concerning the economic aspect and reported on the economic situation of the Family, making us aware of the need for a shrewd and attentive administration.
Tomorrow we will begin to listen to the reports from various Delegations.
