The unceasing courage of the prophet to rejoice in God

Comunità Vita d'Istituto Maria dimora dello Spirito (Atma Nivas) - Mysore - India

Though the fig tree may not blossom,

Nor fruit be on the vines;

Though the labor of the olive may fail,

And the fields yield no food;

Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, (Habakkuk 3:17-18)

The unceasing courage of the prophet to rejoice in God, not in circumstances has been my strength at all times, even when I had to face resistance in my choice of following the Lord in the religious life. My life experience has taught me that, it is easy to praise God when everything is going great, but to praise him at all times greater faith is required. My time of discernment with the Daughters of the Church for the past 4 years has given me the conviction that the Charism that has blossomed in the Church and the total trust in the providence of God are the ways to prove to the world that God exists and is love. When the Mother Church is going through moments of struggles and scandals I, coming from the diocese of Thalassery in Kerala,  Angel Mary Thomas of St. Faustina would like to prove my fidelity to the Lord and my love for the Church by initiating my novitiate journey with the desire to be a true Daughter of the Church.  I request your incessant prayerful accompaniment in my endeavor to be His joyful face in a world of pain, struggle and sorrow.
