We the “Daughters of the Church” celebrate it with pride because our Sister Magdalena Volpato who offered her life for the Unity of the Church. Venerable Mother Maria Oliva Bonaldo mentions Magdalene's oblation as a perennial model of life for the Daughters of the Church. Magdalena learned from the Foundress, the necessity and urgency of prayer for Christian unity, she is shaped by it to the point of fulfilling the total gift of herself for the cause of unity. Unity, being one heart and one soul, was constantly the plea, aspiration and commitment of Mother Maria Oliva Bonaldo, who writes: “Our incomparable model of union is Eucharistic union: Jesus in all; ...‘Mystery of Faith!' exclaims the Celebrant. 'Mystery of love!' we exclaim. A communion would be enough to unite us all. Think what a return would be that of our separated brothers, if before returning to us ... like olive branches around his table ". Let us offer our prayer for this particular intentions.
