The second world day of the poor was celebrated in a spirit of joy with the children of Arunodaya Foster Home in Bangalore on Sunday, November 18, 2018. In the face of the many forms of poverty all around us, though our capacity for action is limited, weak and insufficient and surrounded by thousands of children who are deprived of their sunnier tomorrow, like a drop of water in the desert of poverty we try to assure to eight girl children our closeness in their lives by providing them a good family atmosphere and excellent education. The children’s care takers were also invited and an awareness programme was given to them with regard to their responsibility in collaborating with the Foster Home in order to assure a secure future for the children whom they are unable to bring up in a dignified manner due to reasons of various kind. Mutual sharing of the experience which also gave way for pouring out of emotions was part of the gathering besides training sessions for the care takers and guardians. All of us encountered the warmth of a home, the joy of a festive meal and the solidarity of those who wished to sit together at table in simplicity and fraternity. While we open the doors of our hearts and lives to make them feel like friends and family they evangelize us and help us each day to discover the beauty of the Gospel. Thanks to everyone who networks with us to be close to the JESUS OF THE POOREST-IN-THE POOREST OF JESUS.
