Mary, Mother of the Bread of Life
The Lord gave Mother Maria Oliva Bonaldo, our Foundress, the gift of discovering the beauty of the mystery of the Church in her hometown of Castelfranco ... and together she gave her the inspiration to give life to a religious family to make to know, love and witness the Church.
HIS DREAM "He was born - he tells herself - by the grace that in the procession of Corpus Domini 1913 had illuminated my heart and revealed the love of God. Whoever said to me then: His eyes look at another world, he was right. I lived in wonder and heartache. I felt that God exists and it is all Love; I was happy: and I could not resign myself to seeing men, the most, ignorant of God as I had been and without love: unhappy. It was necessary to open their eyes, reveal the great truth, preach love. This necessity pressed me from within with such force that my poor lungs remained oppressed and I calmed myself only contemplating a small group of apostolic souls who, wide open the doors of their intimate cenacle, would have preached the Love spontaneously, as the flower spreads spontaneously its scent. Just in words, always with a smile! "...
After long years of waiting and research, with the paternal support of the Bishop of Treviso HE Monsignor Paolo Magnani and the parish priest, Mons. Lino Cusinato, in 2002, a small community of "Daughters of the Church" was established, named after "Mary , Mother of the Bread of Life ".
At the parish of Maria SS. Assunta and San Liberale, located within the beautiful turreted walls, is the small oratory called "del Cristo" because in the center stands a large wooden crucifix. Here the Sisters sustain and animate daily Eucharistic adoration, the driving force of our ecclesial commitment.
The mandate of the community is, moreover, the collaboration in the parish pastoral, which is expressed as follows:
- Extraordinary Ministry of Communion
- Liturgical animation
- Lectio divina weekly
- Formation meetings of the charismatic Family groups: Sons of the Church, Friends of the community, extraordinary ministers of communion
From the celebration of the charismatic intuition of our Foundress, in the centenary of 2013, the community emphasizes the ecumenical aspect, to us proper, offering to the whole Pastoral Collaboration a prayer vigil for the unity of Christians within the week of prayer January 18-25.
