Mother of Uniy
On May 15, 1969, the Solemnity of the Ascension, the Ecumenical Eucharistic Center was born in Rome, near the church of Santa Maria in Via Lata, in the heart of the historical center, in Via del Corso n. 306. Here our Mother Foundress, for the expressed desire of Pope Paul VI, opened a house entirely dedicated to ecumenical activity, a house that she called "Mater Unitatis" to support with daily adoration above all the ecumenical activities promoted by the late P. Carlo Boyer SJ .
Since then, Eucharistic adoration, as a prayer meeting for many faithful, continues uninterruptedly, imploring the gift of unity for all Christians. From this presence blossoms what particularly characterizes our religious family: the liturgical animation, the commitment to make the ecclesial Magisterium known, help in the parish, joyful adherence to the initiatives of the Diocese. Today it is important to remember that since 1974 the Community has also collaborated with the Marian Culture Center, built within the same Basilica of S. Maria in Via Lata, of which Fr. Ermanno M. Toniolo OSM is the director and pioneer.
