Sr. Theresa of the Suffering and Redeeming Lord was born on 10 May 1953 at Mallikassery (Kerala-India). She entered the Postulancy on 7 November 1971 at Thidanadu, completed the Novitiate in Rome (Italy) and made her First Profession on 7 June 1975 in Domus Aurea, Rome. Her Perpetual Profession was on 26 June1981.
Back in India, she completed her university studies obtaining Baccalaureate in Education (B. Ed.) from the R. V. Teachers’ College, Bangalore (Karnataka).
After attending the Course for Formators’ at N.V.S.C. Pune, Sr. Theresa was the Mistress of the novices until 1995, and from 1995 to 2007, served the Institute as General Councilor and General Secretary in Rome.
During her stay in Rome, she also completed her Baccalaureate and Licentiate in Theology at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas – Angelicum. In 2008, Sr. Theresa obtained her Doctoral degree in Theology of Consecrated Life from the Institute of the Theology of Consecrated Life (ITVC) “Claretianum”, incorporated to the Pontifical Lateran University, Rome. In the same year she returned to Bangalore, India and she taught at the Sanyasa Institute of Consecrated Life of the Claretians at Carmelaram in Bangalore, at Vinayasadhana Institute of Formative Spirituality and Counseling (DVK), and at Vidyadeep College, Bangalore.
On 24 June 2013, while participating in the XI General Chapter of the Institute she was elected as the Superior General (IV Superior General after the Venerable Foundress, Maria Oliva Bonaldo of the Mystical Body) for a period of six years from 2013 to 2019.
Sr. Maria Santos of the Crucified Love was born in Tosantos (Burgos - Spain) on 28 October 1954.She entered the Postulancy on 18 December 1973 and after completing the Novitiate, pronounced her First Vows on 16 July 1977 in Domus Aurea, Rome, and made her Perpetual Profession on 10 June 1983, in the Parish of Santa Maria delle Grazie, Rome.Sr. Maria Santos obtained Diploma in Teaching of Religion at the Faculty of Theology of Barcelona in 1979; Magisterium in Religious Studies at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome in 1984; and, Licentiate in Theology of Consecrated Life at the Institute of the Theology of Consecrated Life (ITVC) “Claretianum (PUL) in 1987.She served the Institute as General Councilor from 1995 to 2007, during which she was also the Formation in charge and the Directress of the Junior Sisters in preparation for the Perpetual Profession.
She had been the principal coordinator of the entire programme for the Seminar on the Charism of our Institute. She also served as the Novice Mistress in the Latin-American Novitiate at Bogotá for a short period of 2007-2008, and as the Superior of various communities of the Daughters of the Church in Rome and Spain.
During the XI General Chapter of the Institute in Rome, she was elected as the First Councilor and Vicar General for a period of six years from 2013 to 2019. Sr. Maria Santos is responsible for the ongoing and gradual formation of the members of the Institute.
Sr. Ana of St. Teresa of the Child Jesus was born on 16 February 1951 in Ciénega, Boyacá (Colombia).She entered the Postulancy on 8 December 1972 in Tunja and after the novitiate in Italy, pronounced her First Vows in Domus Aurea, Rome on 16 July 1977, and made her Perpetual Profession on 10 June 1983 in the Parish of Santa Maria delle Grazie, Rome.Sr. Anita obtained her Master in Religious Sciences at the Institute of Regina Mundi, Rome in 1981, Diploma in Ethics and Pedagogy at the Institute of Juan De Castellanos, Tunja in 1996 and the Baccalaureate in Catechesis in Bogotá in 2001.She rendered her service as Superior of the community of Santa Maria del Cenacolo in Portoviejo (Ecuador), as Coordinator of the Diocesan Catechesis and as the Delegate Superior for the Colombia-Ecuador Delegation from 2008.
During the XI General Chapter of the Institute, she is elected as the II Councilor for a period of six years from 2013 to 2019.She is also the General Secretary of the Institute as well as Responsible for the Youth and Vocation Ministry of the Institute.
Sr. Maria of the Mother of Divine Love was born on 2 March 1944 in Serramazzoni (Italy).She entered the Postulancy on August 2, 1960 in Villazzano (TN) and pronounced the First Vows on 2 August 1963 and made her Perpetual Profession on 2 August 1968 in Rome.
She attended courses of catechesis and spiritual accompaniment in Salvador (Brazil) where she lived as a missionary for nearly thirty years, carrying out various services: Superior of the community, Novice Mistress and Delegate Superior. Back in Italy, after completing theological in the Institute of the Theology of Consecrated Life (ITVC) “Claretianum (PUL), she was appointed Superior of the Community of Mater Boni Consilii in Levico (TN), a home for the aged Sisters of our Institute.
On 8 July 2007, during the X General Chapter of the Institute, she was elected I Councilor and Vicar General, offices she held until the celebration of the XI General Chapter in June 2013, when she was elected as the III Councilor.
After completing the Master’s degree in Economic Administration of Ecclesiastical Entities at the Institute of the Theology of Consecrated Life (ITVC), in 2008 she was appointed Legal Representative of the Institute and Coordinator for the Mission Office.
Sr. Fiorella of the Incarnate Word was born on 20 November 1949 in Pisticci (Italy).He entered the Postulancy on 2 August 1968, completing the novitiate she pronounced her First Vows in Domus Aurea, Rome on 8 December 1972.Sr. Fiorella obtained a Diploma in Spirituality at the Teresianum Institute in 1975, and undertook studies in Social Work at the FIRAS from 1976. She completed her Baccalaureate in Theology at the Pontifical Lateran University in 1990.She discharged the duties as Superior of the community and as Novice Mistress from 1990 to 1994. After concluding her service as spiritual animator of St. Raphael’s Eucharistic Centre in Milan, for three years she withdrew to the solitude of a shelter adjacent to our Novitiate Community in Rome, during which she prepared the Positio on the life and virtues of our Foundress, Maria Oliva Bonaldo of the Mystical Body.She was then, appointed Superior of the community at Ischia where, besides the animation of the Eucharistic Centre, she gave impetus to the formative journey of our Lay Associates known as “sons and daughters of the Church”. During the XI General Chapter Sr. Fiorella was elected as the IV Councilor, and she is in charge of the animation of all those who in various capacities are part of the Charismatic Family of the Daughters of the Church.
