A servant leader devotes his time to serve the needs of the people he leads. With the interests that extend across every field of human endeavor, the prefects play a pivotal role in the working of the school administration. We at St. Mary’s School Baradi, Assam, train the students to lead by giving them additional responsibilities, thereby helping them to overcome their fears and emerge as good leaders. The Installation ceremony on 27th January 2018 at 10.30 "a.m" began with the escorting of Principal and teachers. After the assembly, came the solemn, most anticipated moment, when the young prefects took the oath, whereby they vowed to abide by the creed and fulfill their duties to the best of their abilities. They promised to disburse their duties and responsibilities in the most proactive and diligent manner. The prefects received their badges from the Principal. The Principal clearly listed his expectations from the new prefects. Apart from nurturing leadership skills, he also emphasized on the values that one must inculcate. Honesty, determination, wisdom, humility and aspirations were the words they needed to pay heed to. The event ended on a note of positivity and willingness, with the prefects promising to do the best they can. They were ready to encounter all the challenges that will come on their way, receive criticism in the most humble manner, yet stand tall and uphold the dignity and integrity. The Investiture ceremony concluded with the blessing by Fr.Johny the Principal of the School.
