Annual School day cum Parent’s day Celebration

We the family of St. Mary's School celebrated the long-awaited day- Annual school day cum parent’s day celebration. We began the program invoking God's blessing on each one of us through a prayer dance by class IV, V and VI students. Mr. Munendra Sharma the Deputy Commissioner was the chief guest, who enlightened the students through his valuable words. He also advised the parents to inculcate in the children the good values and allow them to grow as responsible children developing their skills. Miss Nishiparna Medhi   introduced the dignitaries who have graced us with their presence, and all the invited guests were honored by giving gambusa according to the tradition of the state of Assam. Priests and sisters from the neighboring parishes, parents, and people of the locality were present.  Fr. Raimon Thomas the Principal of the school welcomed the chief guest and gathering. Sr. Mini, the Headmistress presented the Annual report of the school for the year 2019. The beautiful programs of the children such as Nadubhongi dance, Rhymes and drills by the kids, traditional dances and songs, Mime show- a tribute to the soldiers who lost their life in the Pulwama attack, a fantastic freestyle dance by class VII, VIII and IX girls presenting the women harassment and the need of women empowerment added colour to the day. Sir Pankaj proposed the vote of thanks on behalf of the St.Mary’s family. We concluded the programme with the state Anthem.
