“My soul glorifies the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God, my Saviour.”
As Mother Mary rejoiced in the marvellous works of the Lord, we too rejoice in the Lord for the profuse blessings that we have received in our lives. Today is the important day for us in our lives; the day where we have started another stage, of formation in our religious family. Novitiate is the most important and significant stage of the formation. We read in today’s Gospel the Word of Jesus that said “Cast the net over the right side of the boat and you will find something.” So they cast it, and were not able to pull it in because of the number of fish. (John 21:6), here we really understand the intervention of Jesus in the daily life of the disciples, it reveals that Jesus as the real hope of our lives. Undoubtedly the disciples were experienced and expert in fishing, and they were distressed for not having the fruit of their work, so they had no hope of getting the fish at all. It is there that, Jesus comes to give hope by doing the miracle with a good catch of fish. Those who lose hope in the life, Jesus is there to give hope, and we need to, just trust in Him. So today we have started our journey in an intensive formation, trusting and entrusting ourselves fully to the Lord, to follow the footsteps of Jesus through the Charism of our Foundress Mother Maria Oliva Bonaldo with a prayer in our heart : “Lord, we do want to be used by You. we do want to evangelize in accord with Your will. Help us to confidently answer the call, and help us to sincerely listen to the direction You give. Use us, dear Lord, to save many souls for Your Kingdom. Jesus, we trust in You”.
