On 23rd December, 2018 at Aurora Valde Rutilans, Bangalore, the friends and children from the neighbouring slum had a fabulous day with the sharing of Christmas stories, singing of carols, dancing with the Santa Claus, the joy of sharing Christmas message and a sumptuous meal and giving of gifts. The eight angels of ARUNODAYA Foster Home in red dresses danced, greeted and entertained the exuberant audience. Yes, the Lord who became poor for our sake takes birth every year, every time we give without a thought of getting. Christmas is forgetting self and finding time for others. It is discarding the meaningless and stressing the true values. It is happiness because we see joy in people. The celebration like this helps our friends from different religious backgrounds to know it’s Christmas time again. It’s Christmas time again to cherish peace and good will, to be plenteous in mercy, to shun away the darkness of selfishness and pride. If we think on these things, there will be born in us a Saviour and over us will shine a star sending its gleam of hope to the world. Thus in our world of plenty, we can spread a smile of joy. And now they know that it’s Christmas.
