Every year on March 8th, International Women's Day is commemorated. Celebrating Women, whether professionally or personally, is a sense of commitment to each and every Woman in one's life. Women from all walks of life gather together around the country, spanning cultural and ethnic divides, to commemorate their battle for peace, justice, equality, and progress. To celebrate the presence of Women in the society and their achievements, we the community of Nirmal Bhavan had a small programme on 15th of March in Collaboration with IDSSS (Indore Diocese Social Service Society), and our apostolic service done in this diocese, for the rehabilitation and Medical care for Leprosy patients and social apostolate in five villages of Dhar City. And the women were invited  from 15 SHG groups (Self help groups), and Leprosy colonies of Dhar, chief guest the director Rev. Fr. Martin Kujur, the assistant director, Sr. Leena  of IDSSS, Municipality councilor of Khanpura village (Dhar), Local director of the Social centre Rev. Fr. Thankachan. The programme began at 11.am in the presence 65 women with lighting of the Lamp by the chief and honorable guests, followed by prayer song. Women the participants came forward with few cultural programmes and a speech expressing the important role of women in the family and in the society as mother, sister, wife, and daughter. And the chief guests also spoke about the accomplishments of women in a variety of fields, and the day's goals were highlighted the many facets, and the contribution of women in every sphere of life is explained. Along with this celebration we also shared a joy of distributing seven sewing machines and certificate to the tailoring students’ women of the Leprosy colony who had successfully completed their six months training programme obtaining good results, and the Machines were provided with support of IDSSS. With the vote of the thanks the programme was concluded and all those who participated were provided fraternal meal.
