Entry to Novitiate

My soul magnifies the Lord; my spirit rejoices in the Lord. Today, our hearts are filled with joy as we, the family of the Daughters of the Church, give thanks to the Lord for the precious gift of our dear Lucy Mary and Romila, who have taken another step in their religious life and entered the novitiate.

On May 31st, on the eve of the feast of the Visitation of Mary, during the solemn celebration of vespers, our beloved postulants Lucy Mary of the Presentation of Mary and Romila of the Visitation of Mary entered the Novitiate at Atma Nivas in the presence of Sister Gracy Joseph, the Delegate Superior. At the beginning of the celebration, the two postulants processed in, accompanied by the Delegate Superior Sr. Gracy and the mistress Sr. Mini, carrying lit candles in their hands symbolizing the living presence of the Lord, which they offered at the feet of the Lord.

In response to the question posed by the Delegate Superior, they expressed their desire to learn and live our way of life and to be tested by the Lord so that they may be admitted to the religious Community of the Daughters of the Church for the purpose of following Christ. At the conclusion of the celebration, the Delegate Superior entrusted the newly admitted novices to the care of the mistress. All the members of the Community greeted them with gestures of love and joy.
