St. Mary’s Chruch, Baradi is erected as parish on 20th of October 2018. It was a great joy for us the sisters and the parish priest at Baradi to celebrate the first parish feast of our Parish Church on 17th November 2018. As we are in a non- Christian area, our joy doubled with the presence of Fr. Michael the Vicar General of the Diocese, fathers and sisters from the neighboring missions, around 30 faithful from nearby and few non-Christian friends too.
It was the initiative of our Bishop Rt. Rev. Thomas Pulloppillil to celebrate the Parish day in all the mission stations. Inspired by him we the sisters and the parish priest, Fr. Raymon went around to meet the faithful who are scattered nearby. Most of them are working and few students too from different part of India (Kerala, Karnatak, Shillong, West Bengal, Nagaland and Assam). Our experience was so joyful at their welcome of our invitation. The response was so positive and all of them joined with us on this auspicious day to share the Eucharistic banquet followed by the fraternal banquet. They expressed their desire to join us on Sundays for the Eucharistic celebration.
We are grateful to the Lord for all the good things that He is doing in this mission and we pray that with the help of our Blessed Mother and His Son Jesus we will be able to spread the Good News and the Charism of our Mother Foundress Mother Maria Oliva Bonaldo to make known Christ in this area and to become instruments in establishing His kingdom.
